Smith Rock State Park Elopement
I had often dreamt of visiting the beautiful Pacific Northwest and creating specifically a Smith Rock Elopement editorial. The unique landscape, stunning fall colors, and adorable farms full of alpacas didn’t disappoint. Inspired by the stunning rocks and rivers of Smith Rock State Park, I loved the idea of bringing the contrast of soft and sharp together in one editorial, just like the landscape showcased around us.
With a team of talented vendors, we set out to do just that. We not only made use of textures, and fabrics but also colors and materials. SIBO Designs’ dress brought a romance with its flowy train and classic lines that every bride dreams about. The cake by Foxtail Bakeshop has to be one of the most unique cakes I’ve seen! Who said black only looks good on the groom’s tux?!
We let the setting speak to us when it came to what location was best for each backdrop. The soft grass found in the valley area of the canyon paired perfectly with close-up details of the decor. When we brought the elements together, the high-top view point was perfect for portraying our vision of the contrasting elements all in one image. I hope this editorial inspires you to think outside the box while planning your adventure elopement!
