The desire behind this shoot is to connect with those full of anticipation and longing for the arrival of their big day. You see, my now husband and I were oceans away during our dating and into the first year of our young marriage. We happily ran after our dreams while spurring one another to do the same, but it meant we weren’t always able to be side by side physically in the process. It’s a unique experience that many more couples are experiencing as they prepare for the wedding day.
This shoot touches on that sweet anticipation and what a couple experiences while physically apart and planning for their life together. I remember trying my wedding gown on a time or two just so I could feel closer to the moment I would walk down the aisle. Video chat kept us connected with movie nights and late night discussions, but the ache to simply hold one another close lingered day in and day out. Even all these years after saying “I do”, I will never forget the joy the wedding planning process brought me as I know it brings so many others.
