I woke up Sunday morning and checked the radar one more time before heading out the door. It still read 100% chance of rain like it had all week. Sigh, no one dreams of having their outdoor wedding rained on. Trust me when I say your wedding vendors are right there alongside you in that sunshine filled dream. As I drove towards the EO Inn where everyone was getting ready, the rain drops began to fall. And fall and fall and fall, not stopping, just getting harder. “Gosh,” I thought, “Why today? Why not tomorrow?” Luckily, I knew Brittany and Tim, along with Jaclyn of At Last Wedding & Event Design, would hold out as long as possible before making the rain call and move towards plan B – indoors. The getting ready room buzzed with the sound of shuffling feet and laughter and, somehow, no one seemed worried about the patter of raindrops on the window pane.

Even as everyone was dressed and headed to the ceremony venue, Leu Gardens, rain was present. Yet when we arrived at the garden, the skies were not only clear of rain but full of sunshine. Still, I thought, “I know Florida all too well, this is such a tease.” With the fear of coming rain, we quickly moved into B & T’s first look. It was here that time stood still. Any nerves that were present from the day quickly melted away and only happy tears remained. They gently held one another’s hand while exchanging their own personal vows to one another. The worry quickly became a distant memory. It’s in moments like B & T’s first look that I find my deepest delight in this job, seeing others get lost in the moment and celebrating the reason why we all gathered in the first place, their love.

From the first look on, Brittany and Tim were full of smiles as they glided from their private moment to the ceremony and made their promises in front of family and friends. They celebrated their union with the most incredible city views at The Balcony Orlando. They soaked up quality time with their loved ones while dancing the night away under the stars. It was truly a night to remember. <3

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT KT

At home near the ocean. Ever-focused on exploration and finding beauty in stillness; found in the moments that leave me inspired and in wonderment.

Over the span of the last fifteen years, I've learned far beyond the artistry of capturing an image. It's evolved into an exploration of embracing the imperfections and discovering how a couple connects with the world around them. My deepest hope remains still: to capture moments not only worthy of filling your home, but ones where laughter is palpable and your love radiates with each passing milestone.
